Chicken Cleansing Soup

Serves 4 to 5 people


  • 1 Tbs coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1 Tbs celtic sea salt
  • 1/2 ounce of ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic crushed into paste
  • 6 Bone in skin chicken thighs and drum
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • Fresh thyme
  • 2 Tbs soy sauce
  • 1 Tbs hot chili oil


  1. In a saute pan add the coconut oil and saute the onions garlic and ginger for about  4 to 5 minutes until the onions are soft
  2. Add the chicken thyme and water, bring the heat to medium and let it cook for about 45 minutes
  3. Remove the ginger and discard, remove the thyme too
  4. Remove the chicken skin and shred the chicken in a plate then add the chicken liquid
  5. Add soy and hot chili based on your taste i would recommend 1 tbs of soy per plate
Being sick is not fun and this season has been rough on many that are down with cold and flues, ginger is another natural way to help you feel better. Also the warmth of the soup is so nice when your throat is fighting all the germs.
