Granola Breakfast Fairy Dust

Do you want a quick and convenient way to avoid sugary breakfast cereals? Look no further. Start making a large batch of the following nutrition filled granola dust. It’s so good I call it fairy dust! 🙂


  • 8 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raw unsalted mixed nuts such as walnuts, pistachios, pecans and Brazilian nuts
  • 1/4 cup mixed seeds like Chia seeds, hemp seeds, flax seeds and pumpkin seeds or what ever nuts you have in your pantry
  • 1 cup unsweetened mixed dried fruit such as mango, goji, apricots and blueberries.
  • 3 tbsp raw cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp freshly ground coffee
  • 2 tbsp orange zest

Ingredients for the yogurt mix

  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • A handful of strawberries
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Directions for the dust

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F
  2. Place the oats and nuts in a large roasting pan, I always use parchment paper so nothing stick to the pan
  3. Toss together and roast it for 15 minutes
  4. Once it’s golden and toasted let it cool for a few minutes first, then mix it well with the dried fruit, coffee, orange zest and cocoa powder in a kitchen aid
  5. You will see the oats seeds and nuts turns to a dusty texture like sand. That’s when you know it’s ready

Directions for blending the yogurt dust mix

  1. Blend the strawberries until you have a paste texture
  2. Serve the yogurt with strawberries, oat dust and a drizzle of maple syrup
  3. Enjoy the fairy dust 🙂
